Warranty and care
Every Urban Outdoor fibre clay pot has a 12-month warranty against defects, on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Looking after your pot helps it last for years.

Our 12-month warranty
Your pot is covered by a 12-month manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. You'll need your proof of purchase.
What the warranty doesn't cover
- Normal wear and tear, and slight imperfections.
- Fine hairline cracks in the surface. These can be normal in fibre clay and are classed as non-structural damage, so unless they're severe they may not be covered.
- Staining or discolouration.
- Damage caused by poor drainage or waterlogging.
- Damage caused by alterations, accidents, misuse, negligence or acts of nature, or damage that happens in transport.
- Damage caused by cleaning the pot the wrong way.
How to make a claim
Think your pot has a defect? Take it back to the garden centre you bought it from, with your proof of purchase. You'll need to cover the cost of getting it there. Your garden centre will then arrange a repair, replacement or refund with us.
Returns and exchanges
If you'd like to return or swap a pot you're simply not happy with, talk to the garden centre you bought it from. Returns and exchanges are handled under that store's own returns policy.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Our warranty is in addition to these rights.
Looking after your pot
1. Keep the drainage clear
Your pot comes with a plug in the base. Remove it before planting outdoors, and make sure the drainage hole stays clear.
2. Use pot feet
Pot feet lift the pot off the ground to improve drainage and airflow underneath.
3. Don't let water pool
Don't let water sit inside or underneath the pot, and avoid saucers that hold standing water.
4. Seal it
A quality pot or masonry sealer adds protection and helps the pot last longer.
5. Lift, don't drag
Lift the pot rather than dragging it when you move it, ideally before it's planted.
6. Clean it gently
Clean with mild soapy water only. Don't use a pressure washer, scourers or harsh chemicals.
What the pots are made of
Urban Outdoor pots are made from a fibre clay composite that includes magnesium chloride and fibreglass. They're UV stable and light for their size, so they suit courtyards, balconies and gardens year round, and indoor spaces too.
